I have 3 beautiful adult children, but I remember each of their births like it was yesterday. Ever since I had my own birth experiences and then started sharing with friends and family about what I learned, I knew this was a passion and calling in my life. Two years after the birth of my 3rd child, however, my husband and I moved to the Middle East. In 2015, nine years ago, I became a certified Birth Doula and began my work in Amman, Jordan. For a season, I was the only doula in the country, but I kept working to influence in the birth culture in positive ways. I was invited to speak at Breastfeeding conferences and to lecture at the University of Jordan on comfort measures in labor. The US Embassy even regularly referred me to their employees so that they would feel comfortable giving birth in another country as it impacted their employees remaining and not leaving. I have done over 60 births. My busiest months have had 6 clients! In 2020, we moved back to America and like everything in that crazy year my doula work took a hiatus. In 2022, I began my work in central Illinois. I believe women need support and care and cheerleaders in every season of life, and this is why I am here in this space.

When I am not working as a doula you will find me drinking coffee with friends, teaching Aqua aerobics classes, paddleboarding or planning something fun to hang with my adult kids. I am a Jesus follower and believe that God loves us with more adoration than a mother even has for her children, and that's alot!

Every birth, every mother is worth the extra support, comfort, and peace a doula provides. I’m honored to work with each and every mother & couple at one of the most memorable moments in her life💝
